The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Font Company is one of my real success stories on the web.
The font was designed by my father George in the early 90s and has sold in museums across the world. This product was one of the original reasons that I got into web design & development when it was decided that we would sell the font online.
Back in those days we had a basic HTML site (using tables as was the norm in that time) and took payment via Paypal (no change there) and product delivery was managed by a Payloadz account
This site’s aim is to simply offer the best TrueType Charles Rennie Mackintosh Fonts on the market today. You will find other, sometimes cheaper, fonts done in a [kind of] Mackintosh style, but this is the home of the original and best.
Build a e-commerce website that would allow a customer to purchase our fonts online, make their payment via Paypal and then download their purchase after payment.
I built the website using ZenCart with a handful of small extensions enhancing the functionality.
The most crucial enhancement to functionality was the integration of Google Analytics with the e-commerce system itself. This allows me to track order value, most popular products to sell etc.
